Skillet Song…
“Yours To Hold” by Skillet
I see you standing here
But you’re so far away
Starving for your attention
You don’t even know my name
You’re going through so much
But I know that I could be the one to hold you
[Chorus:]
Every single day
I find it hard to say
I could be yours alone
You will see someday
That all along the way
I was yours to hold
I was yours to hold
I see you walking by
Your hair always hiding your face
I wonder why you’ve been hurting
I wish I had some way to say
You’re going through so much
Don’t you know that I will be the one to hold you
[Bridge:]
I’m stretching but you’re just out of reach
You should know
I’m ready when you’re ready for me
And I’m waiting for the right time
For the day I catch your eye
To let you know
That I’m yours to hold
[Altro:]
I’m stretching but you’re just out of reach
I’m ready when you’re ready for me
I really love this song. Especially the bridge. It reminds me of God and how He is there, waiting with open arms to hold us. Whenever we are going through something (no matter what it is) God wants to be the one that we turn to comfort us. The song says it well. But the bottom line message is simply: God Loves You. That’s it.

It all started this morning, when I overslept my alarm and woke up suddenly at 7 am. I have to leave by 7:15 so that I can get to the place where I am babysitting this week (he’s super cute, but I forgot to bring my camera all week). Everything went smoothly there.
But then I left at 2:15ish and was on my way to the Titusville library. I have never been to this library before so I had no idea where I was going. The mother of the child that I was to be tutoring called me and gave me what I thought were helpful directions. Nope. I was going the wrong way. So I turned around and went the other way way too far, and turned around again. After much clearer directions I finally got there at 3:30.
(my left arm is tan-no A/C in my car and its a day of record high heat for this time of the year
) I gave my sincerest appologies for being so late and directionally challenged, and got right to tutoring her son. I walk out of the library and to my UTTER DISMAY…………. I have 1 and 1/2 FLAT TIRES! One was completely flat and the other was flat enough that I couldn’t drive home with it (Oh T-Ville is like 30ish minutes from my house). I first call the next person that I had to tutor (I had to be back in Merritt Island to tutor at 5. But that was not gonna happen). Then I start calling people- brothers, parents, brother’s friends, friends, and anyone in my phone. NO ONE was answering
Then my one bro calls me back and tells me that Dad, Mom, Daniel, and him are in ORLANDO
“What am I going to do?? ” I thought to myself. I keep calling and calling and calling my older bro’s cell phone and the house phone. But I get no answer. Finally, after already being there for an hour…..Zach calls (the middle bro in Orlando) and tells me that Tommy is on the way! I call him and give him directions to the library (it’s in a weird location). He just shakes his head (this is the 2nd time that he had to rescue me). We get the tires all taken care of and finally get home at about 8:30ish.
I did learn something in all of this mess. I learned about people. And their willingness or lack thereof to help a stranger in need. When I noticed my flat tires the library parking lot was FULL. I saw people come out to their cars, look at me and drive off. One creepy guy asked me if I needed help. And later on a very nice girl pulled in and then left but then came back to ask if I needed help or anything. Where are the Good Samaratians?
If I see a girl with a flat tire, I am going to stop and ask if they need help. Now if it’s a guy…sorry guys I won’t stop ’cause that could get me into more trouble.
And that folks was my day. Have a great weekend everyone!

The ancient Mesopotamians originated our seven-day week and they named the days after the sun, moon and five naked-eye planets.
Much later, most of the days were renamed for Germanic gods:
Tuesday was named for Tiw, the god of war
Wednesday was named for Woden, the god of wisdom
Thursday was named for Thor, the god of thunder
Friday was named for Frigg, the goddess of love
Two days still retain their ancient Mesopotamian names:
Saturday was named for the planet Saturn
Sunday was named for the sun
Unlike the day, month and year, the length of the week is not based on any celestial motion. Instead, the 7-day week is based on the ancient practice of farmers selling their produce on "market day".

Sometimes, I just don't understand why people make decisions that hurt the ones that they love the most. Don't they understand and see that they are hurting their family?? Why can't they see that actions have consequenses. I am just really frustrated and confused. Pray.

My friend, Heather, along with another girl started a young ladies bible study for the summer. I am really excited about this! This is an answer to prayer for me! I have been praying for more Christian girls that are more my age to become friends with. So this is really exciting. There is one other girl from my church that is going to try to come every week. Oh and one of the girls, Rebecca, and I went to Elementary School and Jr. High together. So it was fun catching up.
The book that we are doing is called Lady in Waiting. It's a study on the book of Ruth. I can't wait to see what God will teach me through this study!

This is the strangest bathroom that I've ever seen! First there was this room with the tackest green couches.

Then you walk into the very pink bathroom and you are greeted with two toilets that are in line with the sinks. Yes, in the open, with no stall or curtains. There was along the other wall more, but they (thankfully) had stalls with doors and locks. I guess if I was desperate enough….I'd be tempted to use one of the open ones.
